Kids Under Construction is a weekday ministry of First Baptist Church.  The childcare center operates Monday-Friday, 6:30 a.m.-6 p.m. and serves children birth through twelve years.  The church's goal is to minister to families in the community whi8le working alongside parents to help every child grow to his/her greatest potential.


We strive to accomplish that goal by providing a staff that is caring, loving, and devoted to teaching children.  Every child is a gift of God.  We recognize that spiritual, intellectual, physical, and emotional well-being is important in the growth of children.  Our teachers strive to meet each child's needs by providing developmental appropriate faith-based curriculum and activities that support proper development.

Kids Mission:  We exist to partner with parents to give children a foundation of faith, to give families opportunities to strengthen their connection to one another and to the church, and to make the faith journey fun and exciting for younger generations!


Sunday opportunities

9:15 a.m.  Sunday School - Children can join their grade level for a time of Bible lessons and fun each week!  K-4th grades are upstairs in the Kids area and 5th-6th graders have their own space called the "Filling Station."  Infants-PK are in the nursery downstairs.


WOW! Kids - Worship on Wednesdays

During the school year, children ages 3 years - 6th grade can join us for a time of worship, fun, and discipleship.  Team Choir starts at 5:30 and Team Kid starts at 6:30.  Check in for both activities in located in the Atrium of the main building and the hallway of the Family Life Center.    All activities end at 7:30.  K-6th grade pick up is in the Family Live Center.  Children PK and below will be picked up at the main building in their rooms.


In the summer, we offer VBS in June for 3 years-6th grade.  We also offer a one day camp for 1st-2nd grades and a 4-day overnight camp for 3rd-6th grades.

Our student ministry involves 7th-12th graders in worship, ministry, discipleship and missions.  Students meet weekly as "Citizens" for fellowship and worship in the Youth Building.  


Students meet Sunday evenings during the school year for CFL at 6pm.  


Wednesday nights worship at 6.  Students are also involved in Disciple Now weekends, camps, mission trips, and a variety of other ministries.

women's ministry - Heart to heart

Women of all ages are encouraged to take part in the monthly activities sponsored by the women's ministry team - Heart to Heart.  The large group connection meets the first Tuesday of each month September-June.   In between women enjoy Heartstrings (crafts, games, fellowships), book clubs, Bible studies, community outreach projects, prayer groups, and more.  Contact the church office for more information!

Adults

Our young, median, and senior adult groups meet weekly for Bible Fellowship classes on Sundays at 9:15 a.m.  Individual small groups have class socials, fellowships and ministries throughout the year.  We believe every member is a minister and our adults serve in our nursery, preschool, and children's ministries on Sunday mornings and Wednesday evenings as well as yearly events such as VBS and camps.  Adults serve in Sunday outreach, greeters, serving in extended session with preschoolers, children's church and adult choir.  Adult members also serve on our church teams and mission trips.

Our 55+ group meets weekly in Bible Fellowship classes and small group Bible studies.  They meet the 4th Thursday of each month at noon in the Family Life Center for a meal and program.  They usually have a game day the 2nd Thursday of the month.   In the spring, the church hosts a Senior Adult Banquet, and in the fall the Deacons host a Widow's Banquet.
